Social Studies Final Exam: 5/27/2011
The exam will be a comprehensive exam on information learned in 6th grade.
** Students received a study guide 5/19/11**

May 19 Review of the year, a quick look back.
May 20 SS post test. This is the same test the students took at the start of the year. It helps me gauge what they comprehended for the year.
May23-27 Extensive review of the year in preparation for final exam. Exam will cover entire year and will be part of final grade. Geography of the USA, focusing on state locations. Quiz  6/1 or 6/2 (depending on class) on the states.

**Our Ancient World feast will be June 1st.**

Our 4th quarter projects were AMAZING!!! I am so proud of the work the students completed, it was evident that they took pride in their work.

Below is a brief summary of the next few weeks:

Our essay tests were handed out Friday and will be due at the start of the period on Tuesday.

We will be blasting through chapter 14 this week. It will not have a test, but we will play a comprehension game on Friday to make sure students understand the information from the chapter.

Chapter 15 will be studied starting 5/9 and we will have a multiple choice and fill in the blank test on that chapter 5/18. We will then do a year in review and will take our post test on 5/20.

5/23-5/27 will be a review of geography

6/1 Ancient world feast--- Students will bring in a sample of a food from their favorite civilization
