Looking ahead...On November 1, 2010 students will receive their semester project list. The projects will be due on Dec. 15th. Late projects WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Please make note of the dates, if you have travel plans that will have your child not at school on the 15th, or your child is sick that day, please make arrangements to get their project to school on or before the 15th.

It is time to walk like an Egyptian!

Code of  Hammurabi, Queen (King) Hatsheput, pyramids, mummies and all that is ancient Egypt! We will be creating our own Code of Hammurabi, "The strong shall not oppress the weak," and doing a readers theater about King Hammurabi, in addition we will explore the Nile and the many Kings of the region.

On Wednesday, Oct. 20th we will have a feast in class. Students are encouraged to wear headdresses and other Egyptian wear to the feast. A list will be coming home with the feast item that your child has signed up to bring on Wednesday Oct. 13th. We will be making Egyptian collars in class, so if you have glitter or other craft items to donate, we would appreciate them for this project.
